Six of Pentacles – Thanksgiving

© 2015 Carmen Waterman - Six of Pentacles

Last night before going to bed I drew one card and my heart smiled when I gazed into the card and the messages the Six of Pentacles had for me.  It always amazes me when spirit and my guides find a way for me to look at things that are important and it is really not surprising that the card I picked was one that to me embraces the whole meaning of Thanksgiving.

This card is about giving and receiving, and about the warmth and blessing of coming from a place of gratitude.  So often we are so busy with life we forget to take the time to reflect and really appreciate all that we have.  The joy of feeling the warmth of the sun, the changes of colour in the leaves, the bounty of the harvest, good friends and beloved family.   When was the last time you remembered to truly thank someone from your heart.  Letting someone know they make a difference in your life is a gift that keeps on giving.  We have the opportunity to support each other, to focus on what is good and share the joy of being connected.

Life can often be a road that has many trials and challenges.  Living with a chronic pain disorder that often robs me of energy I know first hand that it is not always a cake walk or party.  However it is always easier to face the dark or difficult times if we do it by being open and willing to receive and accept the precious gifts that come our way.  Perhaps the card I drew was just another way for my guides to remind me of these blessings.  Earlier in the day when I was rushing to get to the post office before it closed a beautiful large dragonfly landed on my car door window and just hovered there for awhile.  Its delicate  wings humming softly as it basked in the warm sun on the door, giving me time to notice that it had stopped by just for me.  There are so many opportunities for us to find moments of joy, if we are willing to receive them.

May your day be filled with all the things that you love

Brightest Blessings

Carmen
